One of my strengths (and to many, I'm sure, a major weakness) is that I have a big mouth.
What I mean by this is from the first moment that I had a panic attack, my friends knew about it. From my first meeting with a therapist, people that I was speaking with knew about it.
There were no secrets. I didn’t hide anything. I didn’t have any shame about the situation.
When I overcame my panic disorder and I shared what I went through with my network, dozens of people reached out saying they suffer from this too. They thanked me for sharing this vulnerability. I realized this was a much more common problem than I had thought. This is something that many people are afflicted with, and even worse, embarrassed about.
I realized that this is something that I could help with.
That this situation that was terrifying for me… that I thought had destroyed my life… it was actually a gift. A gift because I had become an expert in handling anxiety and panic attacks. And the tools that I had acquired and developed from reading works from psychologists and working with Cognitive Behavioural Therapists… They could be used to help countless others.
The Anxiety Pack was born out of those tools. The Anxiety Pack was created to help you to understand and overcome your anxiety. And that’s what it vows to do.
